Pastor Sunday Joseph Adu is the Resident Pastor of House of Hope, a multicultural, intergenerational church in Brentwood, Maryland. Called into the ministry on October 28, 1984, under an overwhelming influence of the Holy Spirit with a mandate to take the gospel to nations of the world, the vision is gradually coming into fulfillment. He has a mandate from God to eliminate ignorance by the manifold wisdom of God, and that is responsible for his insatiable passion for knowledge. Recognized by his colleagues as a man of spiritual insight and wisdom centered in Christ alone, he teaches the Word of God with a focus to bring about the progressive perfection of the saints by the realization and actualization of their potential in God.
Pastor Adu is an accomplished visionner and an apostolic leader with significant impact in both the ministry and the marketplace. He has served as a minister in The Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) in the United States for twenty-three (23) years with over two decades of experience in pastoral ministry and organizational leadership both locally and internationally. He is experienced in preaching and teaching, apostolic leadership and overall oversight, and performing sacerdotal functions. As a leader of leaders, he has discipled and mentored successful leaders in ministry and the marketplace.
In addition to his role at House of Hope, he also functions as the National Overseer of GOFAMINT in North America and as the Assistant General Overseer of Foreign Missions for GOFAMINT Worldwide. In his multiple roles he oversees nations across the globe.
Pastor Adu’s hobbies include reading and playing the piano. He is happily married to Deaconess Roseline, and they are blessed with two lovely ladies, Lois and Doris.
